Molded Blanks or Precision Machined Blanks at ULC are measured and viewed using camera or scope by our operators. Professionals, who are linked to the National Institute of Standards, calibrate our Precision Machine Metrology Lab Instruments annually.
In process operators and final inspection personnel use this lab, as well as their own areas to qualify all work going through the shop. Typical Equipment used:
- Micrometers, Verniers, Spherometers
- Automated Height Gauges with statistical print out capability
- Profilometers for surface measurement
- Automated non contact measurement through camera and laser
- Measuring Vision Scopes
