Fabtech, North America’s largest metalforming, fabricating, welding, and finishing event—will be returning to McCormick Place in Chicago, IL this fall. The highly anticipated four-day event begins November 6, and over 50,000 attendees are expected. United Lens Company (ULC) is an exhibitor at Fabtech 2017 and will be presenting at Booth A3043.
During the event, our representatives will be sharing our free Debris Shield Kit with visitors. Attendees will be able to stop by the booth to register for the kit and select three sample sizes of our high-quality OEM replacement shields to trial.
Founded in 1981, the Fabtech event is co-sponsored by the American Welding Society (AWS), the Precision Metalforming Association (PMA), the Fabricators and Manufacturers Association (FMA), in addition to other prominent industry associations.
At Fabtech 2017, attendees are given the opportunity to connect with leading suppliers and researchers in the metalforming community.
Learn, Meet, Explore
Fabtech sponsors refer to the event as a “one-stop shop” for industry professionals—companies can seek new solutions to increase their productivity and improve customer satisfaction, or learn about the industry’s latest and most innovative products and developments. The event will feature nearly 2,000 exhibitors, as well as various Special Events, including panel discussions and keynote presentations with metalforming and fabrication experts.
The success of last year’s event has empowered Fabtech sponsors to make three notable additions to the exhibition floor:
Interest in Additive Manufacturing is at an all-time high, and it ranks among the most prevalent technologies of the 21st century. Located in the Grand Concourse Lobby, the 3D/Additive Manufacturing Pavilion offers presentations, education sessions, and networking opportunities.
Messe Düsseldorf and Fabtech, the world’s foremost tube and pipe industry trade event organizers, have partnered to enrich this year’s Tube and Pipe Pavilion. According to these industry leaders, Fabtech 2017 will be the largest gathering of tube and pipe professionals and customers in North America.
The Paley-James Project is a collaboration between world-renowned sculpture artist Albert Paley and West Coast Choppers founder Jesse James. In this unique project, each artist began to create a sculpture that the other artist would eventually finish. The sculptures will be unveiled at Fabtech, will be and on display throughout the event. Following Fabtech 2017, the sculptures will be auctioned, and the proceeds will support grants and educational opportunities for those seeking careers in the metalworking industry.
Fabtech 2017 will offer several free-to-attend Industry Events, such as a keynote presentation called FABx Tech Talks. Based on the popular TED Talks concept, FABx Tech Talks will reflect on the transformation of metalworking over the years, as well as discuss future advancements in the industry. This year’s speakers are from Mobsteel, West Coast Choppers, GE Ventures, Microsoft, and many other innovative companies.
